Still, the development of the “platform economy” on a global scale has recently prompted scholars to place a significant weight upon – not only the foreign policies, but also and foremost – the Courts’ rulings regarding the classification of “gig workers” (such as Uber drivers, Foodora and Deliveroo riders, etc.) in the different Jurisdictions.
